Solar Solutions for Every Property

Whether you're a homeowner or a business, we design solar systems built around your specific load, roof, and goals — with full Ontario incentive support built in.

Commercial Solar

Offset your energy consumption and maximize commercial output. Save and reinvest money through government assistance and funding.

⚡
Lower Operating Costs
Generate power where it is used and reduce exposure to rising electricity costs. We size each system against your interval data, operating hours, and available roof area.
💸
Clean Energy Credits
Ontario's Clean Energy Credits, as administered by the IESO, can be generated, tracked, and transferred from your system — increasingly valuable for procurement and sustainability reporting.
🌿
Carbon & ESG Performance
Track solar generation and document the emissions benefit against a clearly stated Ontario grid factor — useful for sustainability reporting, procurement requirements, and internal targets.
📈
Long-Term Asset Value
Treat the system as a long-life building asset. We model annual production, degradation, maintenance, tariffs, and incentives so projected value is tied to the property—not a generic range.
⏱️
Peak-Demand Management
Align daytime solar production with high-load operating periods. For demand-billed facilities, the right load profile and system design can reduce both energy use and peak-demand exposure.
🔋
Storage-Ready Design
Plan solar and battery storage as one electrical system. We account for essential loads, outage priorities, future expansion, and the controls required for safe, reliable operation.

Ontario Incentives & Accelerated Depreciation

Eligible new solar and storage equipment may qualify for Canada's refundable Clean Technology Investment Tax Credit, alongside capital cost allowance treatment for specified clean-energy property. Eligibility, rates, labour requirements, and timing depend on the taxpayer and project, so we build the technical package your tax advisor needs to review the opportunity.

Ontario Clean Energy Credits (IESO Registry)

Ontario's Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) administers the Clean Energy Credit registry, which tracks environmental attributes from eligible generators. Businesses installing solar can register products, retain credits for ESG reporting, or transact them within the registry. This provides verifiable proof of renewable electricity consumption — increasingly valuable for procurement, tenant requirements, and sustainability disclosures.

It's only natural that our commitment to the next generation means making smarter energy choices for 30 years and beyond.
🌱
Reduce your carbon footprint
Reduce your carbon emissions and contribute toward Ontario's net-zero goals by generating clean electricity at home.
🏠
Make better use of your roof
Turn suitable roof area into a long-term energy asset, with production modelled around orientation, shading, structure, and your actual household use.
↔️
Earn net-metering credits
When your system exports more than your home uses, Ontario net metering can apply bill credits that carry forward, subject to utility approval and program rules.
🔋
Add backup power
Pair solar with battery storage for selected essential loads, or design the electrical system so storage can be added later without reworking the whole installation.

Plug-In Solar: promising, but not a normal wall-plug product

Ontario is developing a path for approved plug-in photovoltaic systems. ESA currently does not accept equipment connected to an existing general-use receptacle; future compliant installations are expected to require certified equipment, a specialty outlet, a suitable branch circuit, and an ESA Notification of Work.

Residential Solar in the GTA

A well-designed GTA system is built around seasonal production, household demand, roof condition, and local connection capacity. Under Ontario net metering, eligible excess generation can become bill credits that carry forward for up to 12 months, while your home stays connected to the grid for power when solar production is lower.

Federal & Provincial Support

Homeowners may qualify for:

Home Renovation Savings Program
Ontario's current program lists rebates of up to $10,000 for eligible solar panels and battery storage. Program rules and availability can change, so eligibility should be confirmed before work begins.
Check current rebates at Save on Energy ↗
Ontario Net Metering
Eligible renewable generation can offset electricity use and receive bill credits for excess power sent to the grid. Credits can carry forward for up to 12 months, subject to distributor connection capacity and approval.

Canada Greener Homes Loan — Closed
New applications are no longer accepted because program funding is fully committed. Previously approved borrowers can continue through the funding process; new projects should not budget around this loan.

Our Three Step Procedure

From your first call to final commissioning — we manage every step with precision and transparency.

01
Engineer
Before we install panels, we assess your property, roof structure, and electrical infrastructure to design a system built for long-term performance.
02
Integrate
We install more than panels—we integrate a complete energy system into your property. Connection equipment is mounted with precision for safety, inspection readiness, and long-term reliability.
03
Optimize
Once your system is live, we fine-tune, test, and validate real-world performance against design expectations — so you always get the output you were promised.
About Us

Thoughtfully designed solar, delivered with clarity and accountability

We're a GTA-based startup built on the belief that solar should be transparent, precise, and built to last — not a confusing sales process.

Why We Started

Too many homeowners face a fragmented solar journey: unclear pricing, confusing tools, and long gaps between signing and commissioning. We launched Blue Dot Energy to fix that—a company where clarity is the product, not an afterthought.

Our founders came from backgrounds in engineering and project management, frustrated by how an industry doing so much good was so difficult for the average Ontario homeowner or business to navigate with confidence.

We start from the truth

Each project begins with your data — not a sales pitch. We map your system constraints, site, and structural requirements before a single line gets drawn. Then we apply system design, approvals, and performance structure with clear deliverables at every stage.

We break projects into clear stages: engineering, approvals, installation, commissioning, and optimization. You always know what's happening, what comes next, and what it cost — without feeling like you need a solar degree to understand it.

1
Site & Structural Analysis
Roof condition, orientation, shading, electrical service — we document it all before recommending anything.
2
System Design
Custom layout, equipment selection, single-line diagrams, and performance modelling specific to your property.
3
Permitting & Approvals
We manage all Ontario building permits, utility interconnection agreements, and ESA-required documentation.
4
Installation & Commissioning
Precision mounting, panel integration, connection panel installation, and final inspection sign-off.
5
Performance Verification
We validate real-world output against design expectations and fine-tune the system before closing the project.

Transparency by Design

We break projects into clear stages with understandable deliverables, financials, and what-comes-next — without the industry jargon. Homeowners and business owners tell us it's the first time solar felt like a normal construction project.

📊
Clear Financials
Every proposal includes full line-item costs, incentive deductions, estimated annual generation, and a 25-year return model.
📅
Honest Timelines
We give you realistic permit and installation timelines upfront — not optimistic estimates that shift by months once you sign.
🔔
Milestone Updates
You receive written updates at each project milestone — design complete, permits submitted, permits approved, installation scheduled, commissioned.
📞
Direct Access
You always have a direct line to the person running your project — not a call centre or a support ticket queue.

Where We're Going

We're building a replicable model for the GTA — and eventually broader Ontario — that demonstrates solar installation can be done at scale without compromising quality, safety, or client clarity. Every project we complete makes the next one better.

Our near-term goal is to be the most trusted solar installer in the GTA for properties between 5 kW and 500 kW — the range that gets underserved by both boutique residential firms and large utility-scale developers.

Continuous Innovation
We stay current with system design, firmware updates, and policy changes so your installation reflects the best available practice at time of design.
Transparent Pricing
No hidden costs. No vague scopes. Every proposal is fully itemized with a complete financial model.
Firm Commitments
Clear engineering before clear commitments. We don't promise what we can't deliver.
Community-Driven Growth
We partner with homeowners and businesses who want to make a real contribution to Ontario's clean energy future.

We partner with people who value informed decisions

Our clients are homeowners and business operators who want proper execution — and are willing to take a few extra days to make sure the design is right before a shovel hits the ground.
